While the milk is heating, break the egg into a separate bowl, add regular and vanilla sugar and rub well with a whisk. Then add starch to this mixture, add a little warm milk and mix everything again.

Pour the resulting mixture of eggs with sugar and starch into warm milk in a thin stream and at the same time stir everything with a whisk, because it is important that the cream does not burn.
