Chicken liver with potatoes in a slow cooker

It is very convenient when a meat dish can be cooked at the same time as a side dish. No extra time is wasted on its preparation, and the side dish itself turns out to be especially rich. This is exactly how we will cook chicken liver in a slow cooker - along with potatoes. For additional taste and aroma, we also add onions and carrots. Do not forget about spices: black pepper and nutmeg will be very useful.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
Peel the onions, wash, dry and cut into thin transparent half rings. Peel the carrots from the upper skin, wash, dry and rub on a coarse grater. Alternatively, you can cut it into thin cubes - this way it will be more felt in the finished dish. We turn on the multicooker in the "Fry" mode. Pour a small amount of odorless vegetable oil into the bowl and heat it well. Then pour chopped onions and carrots into a bowl. Fry everything together until the onion pieces are transparent and the carrots are soft, while stirring. The approximate frying time is 10 minutes.
step 2 out of 6
We wash the chicken liver in cool water. We remove all films and vessels. We leave the liver in its entirety, do not grind it. After rinsing, the water must be allowed to drain from the liver. Then sprinkle it with salt, black pepper and grated nutmeg to taste, mix well. Next, sprinkle each piece with flour so that it is covered with it on all sides.
step 3 out of 6
Put the prepared chicken liver in the multicooker bowl with the onions and carrots, mix and continue cooking in the "Fry" mode for another ten minutes.
step 4 out of 6
Then pour hot water into the bowl. The amount of water should be such that the pieces of the liver are barely covered with liquid. At this stage, you can add salt to the liver, if necessary.
step 5 out of 6
Peel the potatoes, rinse, dry and cut into thin circles. Sprinkle them with salt and potato spice mixture. We install a double boiler in the multicooker bowl and lay the prepared potatoes on it. We close the lid of the device and set the “Extinguishing” mode for one hour.
step 6 out of 6
After the program time has elapsed, open the lid and put the liver together with the potatoes on portioned plates. When serving, sprinkle with chopped herbs. Serve hot.
Bon Appetit!
