Chicken liver with rice in the oven

A very convenient way to cook chicken liver, as it is baked at the same time as the side dish. We prepare all the ingredients in advance, put them in a mold and send them to the oven. The groats are well saturated with the juice of vegetables and liver and are very tasty. We recommend taking friable rice - this way the dish looks more aesthetically pleasing and appetizing.

We prepare the necessary ingredients. Peel carrots and onions, rinse and dry. We thoroughly rinse the chicken liver in running water, remove films, vessels and veins. Place the rice in a colander and rinse until clear water.

Place the washed rice in a bowl and fill it with cold water. We leave to soak for a while while we are preparing the rest of the components.

Cut the carrots into thin cubes, as in the photo.

Cut the onions into thin longitudinal feathers.

Heat the olive oil in a frying pan until hot. Put prepared onions with carrots in it, mix and fry at medium-low temperature until soft. Stir occasionally.

Free the bell pepper from seeds and stalks, rinse and cut into small cubes. Pour chopped peppers to soft vegetables, mix and continue cooking for another three to four minutes.

Finally, add the chicken liver dried on a paper towel.

Mix it with vegetable frying, add salt and ground black pepper and cook for one or two minutes.

Put the soaked rice in a baking dish together with the water in which it was soaked.

Place the liver with vegetables on top of the rice, trying to distribute it in an even layer. Pour water at room temperature into the mold - the liquid should cover the contents of the mold by half.

Add salt and pepper to the dish.

We wash, dry and grind the greens. Pour the herbs over the liver.

Tighten the form with rice and cookies with foil with the shiny side inward. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and put the dish in it on the lower level. Bake for thirty to thirty five minutes

The chicken liver is cooked through and the rice becomes soft and crumbly.
