Chicken liver with cheese in the oven

Fried or stewed liver, pancakes or liver cutlets are familiar dishes that are already well known to everyone. We suggest baking chicken livers in the oven under a layer of melted cheese - not quite a traditional method that will reveal this offal from the other side. Such a liver turns out to be tender and juicy. The creamy taste of the cheese favorably sets it off and gives richness. When serving, do not forget to sprinkle the dish with fresh herbs.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 8
We wash the chicken liver in cool water, remove films, vessels and veins. We cut each liver into two parts. Dry the pieces well. For convenience, you can simply lay them out on a paper towel and blot.
step 2 out of 8
We clean, rinse and dry the onions. We cut it into thin half rings. Pour vegetable oil into the pan, heat it up and pour onions. Fry the onion until transparent and lightly browned, then remove from the pan and transfer to a plate.
step 3 out of 8
Pour a little more oil into the same pan, heat it up and lay out the prepared liver. Fry it until the color changes - literally one and a half to two minutes, stirring occasionally. The plate temperature is medium-high. At the end of cooking, sprinkle the product with salt and black pepper, mix and remove from the stove.
step 4 out of 8
Put the fried liver in a baking dish.
step 5 out of 8
Distribute the fried onions on the liver in an even layer. Then put the sour cream and also distribute it evenly throughout the onion.
step 6 out of 8
Rub the hard cheese on a fine grater and sprinkle a layer of sour cream with the resulting shavings.
step 7 out of 8
Preheat the oven to 190 degrees and put the dish with the stacked liver in it on the middle level. We bake for ten to fifteen minutes.
step 8 out of 8
During this time, the liver is completely baked and soaked in sour cream and melted cheese. We take out the form with the liver from the oven, sprinkle with chopped herbs and serve hot.
Bon Appetit!
