Kurnik with potatoes, chicken and mushrooms

For hearty homemade cakes, I highly recommend using the popular chicken, chicken and mushroom chicken recipe. Kurnik is obtained with a delicate juicy filling and an ideal dough in texture.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 18
Peel the onions, rinse in cool water, and then cut into thin half rings.
step 2 out of 18
Mushrooms, I used champignons, peel well and then cut into thin slices.
step 3 out of 18
Chicken meat - chicken breast or chicken thigh fillet, wash well, pat dry with paper towels, then cut into thin slices.
step 4 out of 18
Heat a deep frying pan well over moderate heat, add a small amount of vegetable oil. Arrange the chopped onions and mushrooms. Stir constantly and fry for a few minutes.
step 5 out of 18
Then add chopped chicken to the fried ingredients.
step 6 out of 18
Wash the potatoes well, peel them with a peeler, and then cut into thin strips.
step 7 out of 18
Stir the contents of the pan well, and fry until the juice has completely evaporated.
step 8 out of 18
Prepare the dough. Cut chilled good quality butter into small pieces and place in a container. After that, sift the required amount of wheat flour through a fine sieve, grind it into crumbs.
step 9 out of 18
Then pour in the required amount of chilled kefir, add chicken yolk, add salt and mix thoroughly.
step 10 out of 18
Knead the resulting dough well, collect in a ball, place in a plastic bag or tighten with cling film and place in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes.

Combine prepared potatoes with fried chicken, mushrooms and onions. Rinse green onions, dry and chop, add to the filling. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
step 12 out of 18
Stir the filling thoroughly.
step 13 out of 18
Line a baking sheet with baking paper. Divide the rested dough into 2 parts, roll each part with a rolling pin into an even rectangular layer about 1 centimeter thick. Place on a baking sheet. Spread the filling evenly over the top.
step 14 out of 18
Place a second layer of dough on top of the filling.
step 15 out of 18
Pinch the edges of the dough well, make a hole in the center, form decorations from the remnants of the dough.
step 16 out of 18
Shake the chicken yolk with a whisk or fork, and then grease the chicken on top with the resulting mass using a silicone brush. Place a baking sheet with a pie in an oven preheated to 180 degrees, and bake the chicken for 45 minutes.
step 17 out of 18
Cool the finished chicken with potatoes, chicken and mushrooms.
step 18 out of 18
Serve juicy fragrant chicken.

Bon Appetit!
