Kvass from birch sap with kvass wort

A simple recipe for a delicious drink made from birch sap. Kvass wort can, of course, be prepared by yourself, by sprouting cereals and adding rusks, fruits, berries to them for infusion. But it is much easier to buy ready-made wort in a store - you can find it in any supermarket.

Kvass wort can be purchased in any supermarket - it will give the drink the same kvass taste and "support" fermentation.

Place one liter of room temperature birch sap in a separate container. Add granulated sugar, raisins and leavened wort to it. Stir until yeast and sugar dissolve.

Put the remaining juice into a volumetric bottle and pour the prepared mixture of juice, wort, sugar and yeast into it. Leave the container open at room temperature for two to three days.

As the fermentation progresses, the kvass will become richer and stronger in taste. Take a sample from the drink - when the degree of saturation suits you, kvass can be consumed. We store the drink in the refrigerator, closing the lid.
