Kvass from birch sap with apple dryers

There is a very simple recipe for making birch kvass with dried apples: pour the juice into a barrel, add dry apples, seal the barrel, place it on a glacier and after 3 months the kvass will be ready. But this recipe can be used by few at present. We prepare kvass in plastic bottles and replace traditional yeast and juice with apple drying with raisins. You can prepare such kvass at any time from canned juice, only homemade.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 7
First strain fresh birch sap through cheesecloth to clear it of small debris. Then pour the juice through a watering can into clean plastic 1.5-liter bottles, without filling them to the very top.
step 2 out of 7
Then, through a watering can, so as not to spill, pour 2 tablespoons of sugar for each bottle to the juice.
step 3 out of 7
Rinse raisins, preferably dark, rinse a little and transfer to bottles with juice.
step 4 out of 7
Then place the apple-cured pieces into the bottles.
step 5 out of 7
Add 2 prunes to the juice to give the kvass a richer taste and color.
step 6 out of 7
Tighten the bottles with corks and shake several times to completely dissolve the sugar. Then open the caps slightly and squeeze the bottles a little to remove air. Then seal them tightly again.
step 7 out of 7
Place bottles with kvass horizontally in any warm place for 4 days. During this time and as a result of fermentation, birch sap will become a delicious kvass with apple driers. Transfer the bottles of kvass to the refrigerator and strain it on a strainer before drinking.
Drink with pleasure!
