Kvass from birch sap with barley and dried fruits

Such kvass not only refreshes, but also perfectly heals the body. Moderately sweet, slightly carbonated, it quenches thirst well in the heat and restores strength. To prepare such a drink, you can use not only barley, but also wheat or oat grains.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
Pour granulated sugar into a jar, place washed raisins and clean barley grains.
step 2 out of 5
Pour in birch sap. Mix everything well.
step 3 out of 5
Cover with a loose lid or tighten with a napkin and leave in a warm place for two to three days to ferment. If the room is not too warm, it will most likely take longer to ferment. We periodically try and conclude that it is ready.
step 4 out of 5
If the drink has fermented well and suits in taste and saturation, then we filter it from additives and pour it into clean food containers.
step 5 out of 5
We store kvass in a cold dark place closed; it is better to serve it cold on the table.
Bon Appetit!
