Whole oat kvass

A healthy and invigorating drink made from natural products without adding yeast. It will fill the body with important microelements and delight you with its sweetish taste. Kvass needs to be prepared in advance, as it takes about 7 days for it to be infused.

Pour the cereals onto the cloth and sort through the debris. Wash the oats well under running water and transfer to a jar.

Pour cold drinking water all the way to the top of the jar, as the oats will float as you infuse. Stir the contents of the container vigorously with a long spoon.

Cover the throat of the jar with gauze, folded in several layers and leave for 5 days for the sourdough to form.

Empty the can; you no longer need it.

Pour the leaven again with cold water, put sugar and honey in the container and mix.

Cover the top with gauze and leave the kvass to infuse for 1-2 days. Do not keep it longer, otherwise the soft kvass will turn into a sharp-tasting alcoholic drink.

After the specified time, strain the kvass through cheesecloth and enjoy the pleasant taste of this refreshing drink.
