Kvass from kvass wort without yeast

There are many homemade kvass recipes, but real refreshing kvass is best made with wort. It has a bright, rich taste and aroma. And raisins will give the drink special, unique notes.

To make kvass without yeast, be sure to take kvass wort (ready-made in the store) and rye sourdough. If you want, you can make the wort at home.

We take any small container and pour rye sourdough into it.

Next, fill the starter culture with boiled water at room temperature. Stir in the sourdough water for a few minutes.

Pour the remaining boiled water into a saucepan and pour our rye sourdough into the same place.

Add kvass wort to the pan. We leave the finished concentrate at room temperature. It is better to cover the pan with gauze to keep out debris and dirt.

After bubbles appear on the surface of the concentrate, add sugar and mix everything thoroughly. Leave the concentrate for 12 hours at room temperature.

After 12 hours, pour off the ready-made kvass without using yeast in a container for further ripening. After the next 12 hours, our kvass is ready. The shelf life of such a drink in the refrigerator is 5 days.
