Oat kvass is a delicious refreshing drink containing a large amount of nutrients. In addition to the refreshing and thirst-quenching effect, oat kvass perfectly tones the body. To cook it at home, you need a minimum set of ingredients, the most important and basic of which is unpeeled oats.

Rinse the unpeeled oats thoroughly under running water. This procedure is necessary to wash off the starch from it. We place the prepared grains in a container, which should first be washed or sterilized if desired.

Next, pour water (3 liters) into the container, without adding about 5-7 cm to the very neck.Pour granulated sugar (5 tablespoons) to the rest of the ingredients and mix everything.

The jar must be covered with a towel or gauze and left to ferment in this form at room temperature for 2-3 days. There is no need to stir kvass during fermentation.

After a while, the liquid from the can, which smells like kvass, should be drained, and the container should be filled with the same volume of water and granulated sugar. Leave the kvass to ferment again for 2-3 days at room temperature.

After the second fermentation, the drink will be lighter than the first time and will be ready to drink. It should be noted that you can use oats in this way for making kvass up to 7 times, this will not affect the taste of the finished drink in any way.
