Lavash with chicken, Korean carrot and cheese

Adding chicken to the roll filling makes the finished dish more satiety. Cut into portions, such a roll is convenient to take with you for a hearty snack. We suggest using chicken breast in the recipe, but you can use any other parts of the poultry. The juicy Korean carrots will keep the pita and chicken from dry, and will add a crunchy texture. Soft processed cheese will provide a pleasant creamy note - the roll will become softer in taste. Before use, it is advisable to hold the roll in the refrigerator so that all layers of the snack are well saturated.

Cooking process

step 1 out of 7
Cut the boiled breast into small pieces. It is also permissible to simply disassemble it into fibers - so the meat will have a more pronounced taste. Alternatively, you can use fried, baked or smoked poultry - all this affects the flavors of the finished roll.
step 2 out of 7
We spread a sheet of pita bread on the table surface and level it by hand. If the edges of the pita bread dry up and begin to crack, it is worth slightly moistening them with water, so the elasticity will be restored. Apply half of the total amount of processed cheese to the sheet and distribute it over all areas with a spoon or spatula, making an even thin layer.
step 3 out of 7
We wash the green lettuce leaves and dry them thoroughly on a towel. We put the leaves on the cheese, trying to do it tightly and not leave gaps.
step 4 out of 7
Cover the lettuce leaves with a second sheet of pita bread, lightly press everything together with your hands. Put the remaining processed cheese on the surface of the second sheet and also distribute it evenly. Do not forget to coat the edges well so that all layers stick well later when forming a roll. Pour chicken pieces onto the cheese, align them around the entire perimeter.
step 5 out of 7
Carefully lay the Korean carrots on top of the chicken.
step 6 out of 7
We form a roll, trying to roll the pita bread with the filling as tightly as possible. It is important not to leave gaps between the layers, then the cut of the finished snack will be beautiful, and the portioned pieces will not fall apart. We wrap the formed roll with cling film or foil and put it in the refrigerator. Let it soak for a couple of hours.
step 7 out of 7
Cut the finished roll into portioned pieces. We put them on a plate and serve.

Bon Appetit!
