Lasagne from Armenian lavash

Lasagna is a flaky, often meat dish of Italian cuisine, it is baked in the oven in a creamy sauce, it turns out very tasty and juicy. Traditional lasagna sheets can always be replaced with Armenian lavash.

Peel the onion and garlic, chop finely.

Wash the carrots, peel and grate.

Make cross-to-cross cuts on the tomatoes, dip them in boiling water for 1-2 minutes, then, starting from the cuts, easily peel off the skin. Grind the tomato pulp in a blender.

Fry onions and garlic in sunflower oil. Add carrots, sauté everything together. Then put the minced meat, salt, season to taste and continue to simmer for 20-25 minutes.

Add tomato paste to the pan to meat and vegetables, stir and simmer for 5-7 minutes.

Make lasagna sauce. To do this, melt the butter, add flour to it, lightly fry. Then add milk in a thin stream, bring the resulting mixture to a boil. The sauce should thicken and get a smooth consistency.

Grate the cheese on a medium grater.

Divide the lavash into 3 equal parts. Place one piece at the bottom of the mold.

Put half of the meat filling on the pita bread, pour 1/3 of the sauce over it and sprinkle with half of the grated cheese.

Cover with a second piece of pita bread, add the rest of the meat filling, pour 1/3 of the sauce and add the remaining cheese.

Place the last pita bread on top, brush it with the remaining sauce.

Place the dish in the oven. Bake the lasagne at 180 degrees for 45 minutes. Then take out the baking dish, sprinkle with grated Parmesan on top and bake for another 10 minutes. Remove the prepared lavash lasagna from the oven, cool a little, cut into portions and serve.
