Lecho is a preparation for the winter that is popular among housewives. The most delicious is always the preparation that does not require a large number of ingredients. This recipe provides for the use of three main components in the preparation of lecho - tomatoes, bell peppers and garlic. Simple and always delicious!

Dry thoroughly washed tomatoes, remove the stalks. If there is any external damage, cut it out. Next, grind the tomatoes with a blender or meat grinder.

Pour the chopped tomatoes into a deep saucepan.

Wash the bell peppers, remove the seed pods. Cut the peppers themselves into small strips. Send the slices to the pan with the chopped tomatoes.

We put the pan with the contents on the fire, bring to a boil. After that, add salt and granulated sugar, pour in vegetable oil. Mix everything and boil over moderate heat for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. During this time, the pepper will cease to be crispy, but retain its elasticity.

We clean the cloves of garlic, pass through a press and add to the container with the vegetables being prepared. Stir, cook for 5 minutes and turn off the gas. Then add vinegar essence, stir everything thoroughly.
