Tomato lecho for the winter

Tomato and pepper lecho is a fairly easy snack to prepare. At the same time, it tastes very pleasant. Lecho can be eaten simply with bread, can be used as a side dish for meat dishes or as an appetizer on a festive table.

Cut the washed tomatoes into small cubes, removing the stalk. Place in a blender bowl and blend completely.

Pour the tomato puree into a heavy-bottomed saucepan and bring to a boil.

Remove the seed box from the pepper and cut into strips.

When the tomato puree boils, add the chopped pepper. Cover with a lid to bring the dish to a boil. After boiling, cook for half an hour over low heat.

Pour in sugar, salt, pour in vegetable oil and cook until cooked for another 15 minutes.

Pour in vinegar and boil for another 10 minutes.

Put the prepared lecho in clean sterilized jars, screw the lids and turn upside down, cover with a warm old jacket and let cool completely slowly.
