Lecho for the winter without carrots

Lecho is a wonderful winter preparation, which has many recipes. Each family has its own culinary secrets of the perfect lecho. I suggest making a bright and juicy lecho without carrots. This vegetable appetizer is perfect for any side dish or as a side dish on its own.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 8
Put the tomato paste in a metal dish with a thick bottom. Fill with the required amount of drinking water. Mix thoroughly until completely dissolved. Add the required amount of granulated sugar, sodium chloride and citric acid to the tomato filling.
step 2 out of 8
Wash the bell pepper thoroughly, dry it and peel it of seeds and core, and then cut into 4-6 pieces, depending on the size, to make slices. Put the prepared bell pepper in the tomato sauce.
step 3 out of 8
Stir well and place over medium heat. Bring to a boil.
step 4 out of 8
Reduce heat and simmer for about 10 minutes. In the meantime, prepare the jars, wash and sterilize them in the oven, microwave, or water bath. Pour boiling water over the lids or simmer in a saucepan for about 10 minutes.
step 5 out of 8
Gently arrange the hot, colored appetizer in sterile jars.
step 6 out of 8
Cover with sterile lids using a seaming machine and roll up.
step 7 out of 8
Turn the lecho cans upside down. Leave in this position until it cools completely for about a day, wrapped in a warm blanket.
step 8 out of 8
Then, turn the cooled jars of flavorful snacks over and store them in a cool, dark place.

Bon Appetit!
