Lecho for the winter through a meat grinder

Lecho through a meat grinder can be used as a sauce for meat, fish dishes, soups, salads, frying. The preparation is hearty thanks to the boiled rice in it. It is recommended to use the meat grinder attachment with sufficiently small holes in it.

Wash the vegetables. Pass the tomatoes through a meat grinder.

Remove seed boxes with legs from peppers, cut them into long strips and also pass through a meat grinder into a bowl with tomatoes.

Grate carrots. Peel the onion and mince it. Combine tomatoes, peppers, onions and carrots in a heavy-walled saucepan. Pour in vegetable oil, mix. Boil.

Reduce heat to low, cover with a lid. Simmer lecho for 1 hour, stirring from time to time. Rinse the rice well. Pour rice into the workpiece, add salt, granulated sugar, stir and simmer for another half hour.

Spread lecho with rice in sterile jars, roll up. Turn the jars over to the lids, cover with a warm towel and let cool. Next, take the blanks to the basement.
