Lazy stuffed cabbage rolls without meat

Lazy cabbage rolls without meat are really easy to cook, they can be stewed as individual cutlets or in the form of a total mass, which is even easier to do. The most time consuming part of preparing lazy cabbage rolls is preparing vegetables for stewing. The recipe is designed for lovers of vegetarian cuisine or for those who observe the church fast.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
Wash and peel all the vegetables, grate the carrots and finely chop the onion.
step 2 out of 6
Chop the cabbage with a knife, and cut the Bulgarian pepper into small cubes, peeling it of seeds and stalks.
step 3 out of 6
Grind the tomatoes into gruel on a grater, you can remove the skin from them in advance by holding them in boiling water. Also use tomato paste or sauce instead of tomatoes. Fry the onions in a deep bowl, best of all in a cauldron, then add carrots, bell peppers to it, sauté a little and add chopped cabbage.
step 4 out of 6
Stir all the vegetables, add a little hot water and simmer them in a cauldron until tender. When the vegetables are almost completely melted and softened, add chopped tomatoes to them. While the vegetables are stewing, rinse the rice, pour boiling water over and let it stand for 15-20 minutes. Then transfer the swollen rice to a cauldron, add salt and pepper there to taste. To make the dish softer, add a little water or broth and simmer under the lid.
step 5 out of 6
Finally, add finely chopped parsley and chopped garlic to the cauldron if desired.
step 6 out of 6
Steam the dish under a lid and a towel for another 15 minutes, turning off the heat, so that the rice absorbs moisture and becomes crumbly. Serve hot.

Bon Appetit!
