Lazy stuffed cabbage rolls

Both lazy and classic stuffed cabbage rolls use minced meat, rice and cabbage as the main ingredients. Cabbage can be white or Peking cabbage. The dish turns out to be juicy and tasty. Lazy stuffed cabbage rolls are easier to prepare than traditional ones.

Peel the white cabbage and rinse if necessary. Chop the cabbage finely. If you want the cabbage not to be felt in the finished doves, twist it in a meat grinder.

Put chopped cabbage into a container and pour boiling water over it. Cover and let sit for 20 minutes.

Rinse the rice well under running water. Place in a saucepan, cover with cold water, bring to a boil. Cook the rice for five minutes. Turn off the pan and let the rice stand for 15 minutes.

Peel the onions and carrots. Finely chop the onions. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater.

Preheat the pan well. Pour in a small amount of vegetable oil. Place the finely chopped onions. Fry until soft.

Set aside a couple of tablespoons of the fried onions in a separate bowl. Place the grated carrots in a skillet and fry for a few minutes. Set aside a third of the sauteed vegetables.

Place the tomato paste in a skillet. Wash the tomatoes well, chop with a blender until smooth and pour into the pan.

Season vegetables with pepper and salt, add granulated sugar, two glasses of water, bring to a boil and cook for five minutes.

Drain the cabbage through a sieve or colander, or transfer it with a slotted spoon to a deep container.

Drain the rice through a sieve and place in a small bowl.

Add minced meat, chicken egg, fried onions to the cabbage, which you set aside earlier.

Season with salt, pepper, add rice, mix thoroughly.

Prepare a baking dish. Spread the deferred vegetables evenly on the bottom.

Form small cutlets from the minced meat and place over the fried vegetables. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees in advance. Place the dish in the oven and bake the cabbage rolls for 25 minutes.

Spread the vegetable gravy on top in an even layer.

If the gravy is not enough, add some hot water from the kettle. Reduce the temperature to 180 degrees, put the mold back in the oven for 15 minutes.
