Lazy cabbage rolls

We form the cabbage rolls in the form of cutlets, combining all the ingredients in the minced meat together with the cabbage, fry and bake in a pan with sauce. The dish is fragrant, tender and very tasty. Serve as a stand-alone hot dish or with a vegetable side dish or mashed potatoes. It is better to use minced meat mixed - pork and chicken.

Boil water in a small saucepan, add salt and rice. Cook it for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Transfer to a colander and let drain and cool.

Peel and rinse carrots and onions. Chop the onion finely with a knife, coarsely grate the carrots.

In a hot skillet with 2 tbsp. l. butter, brown the onion. Transfer the carrots to it and stir, fry the vegetables over medium heat for 5 minutes.

Remove the top leaves from the cabbage and chop the soft part thinly.

Transfer the cabbage to the skillet and stir. Add 100 ml. water and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer over low heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Boil the egg for 10 minutes. Peel and chop with a knife. Put the minced meat in a deep bowl. Add chopped egg, cooled rice and vegetables. Add salt and pepper and stir.

Form small patties by wetting your hands in cold water to reduce food sticking.

Heat some oil in a frying pan and fry the cabbage rolls over high heat on both sides until golden brown. There is no need to hold until ready.

Add tomato paste to sour cream and stir, salt. Put the mixture on the cabbage rolls, reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes, covered. Serve the flavorful dish hot.
