Lazy lavash pies with cheese

Today I want to share my favorite and incredibly tasty, in my opinion, recipe for lazy pita bread with cheese. The baking process is quite simple and not laborious. Use this recipe and none of your loved ones will remain indifferent.

Wash the potatoes in cool running water and then peel them with a vegetable peeler. Peel the onions and rinse under cold water.

Grate peeled onions and potatoes on a coarse grater.

Break a chicken egg to the resulting vegetable mass, add salt and spices to taste.

Grate the processed cheese on a coarse grater and add to a bowl with the rest of the ingredients. The amount of cheese can be increased if desired. Cheese can be used with any fat content and texture. Stir the filling thoroughly until smooth.

Cut the sheets of Armenian lavash into several identical rectangular pieces. I usually cut the sheet into 6-8 pieces, depending on the size of the pita bread.

Put the prepared filling on each part of the pita bread, evenly distributing it.

Then gently form triangular envelopes, folding in half. Pre-fold the side edges inward so that the filling does not fall out.

Heat a deep frying pan well over moderate heat, pour in a small amount of vegetable oil and lay out the prepared pies, fry until delicious crispy crust on both sides. Put the finished lazy pita pies with cheese on a plate and serve. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
