Tortillas with cheese and herbs in the oven

A simple recipe for a delicious cheese cake. The dough is prepared quickly and easily. Baking also does not take long. The secret of the rich taste is in the combination of cheese and herbs. In this case, we use green onions, although the choice of aromatic herbs is not limited in any way. And the beauty of a golden brown crust is due to the smearing of a still raw cake before baking with a thin layer of kefir. Sesame seed sprinkles, in addition to the aesthetic side, also affect the taste of baked goods - light nutty notes appear.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 9
To prepare the dough, sift the flour together with the baking powder into a wide bowl. Add salt.
step 2 out of 9
Separately rub hard cheese on a coarse grater and pour the resulting shavings over the sifted flour. We wash the green onion feathers, dry them and cut them with a knife into small transverse pieces. Pour the chopped greens into a bowl. Mix dry ingredients with our hands.
step 3 out of 9
Pour kefir into the dry mixture. Melt the butter separately to a liquid state and also pour it into a bowl after the kefir. Knead the dough. First we stir with a spoon, then we go to work with our hands. The resulting dough should be soft but firm, not sticky and keep its shape well.
step 4 out of 9
We divide the entire volume of the dough into two equal parts - you get two large cakes.
step 5 out of 9
We roll each part of the dough into a bun. Cut off the oiled parchment to the size of the baking sheet, put a bun of dough on it. Roll out the dough into a round cake directly on the parchment. The thickness of the workpiece is approximately one centimeter. We do the same with the second part of the dough, placing it on another piece of parchment.
step 6 out of 9
With a knife we cut each cake on parchment into eight equal sectors - then it will be easier to divide the finished product, and visually the cake looks attractive with such a "pattern".
step 7 out of 9
Lubricate the prepared cake with kefir using a silicone brush.
step 8 out of 9
Sprinkle sesame seeds on the wet after lubrication. Both black and white can be used.
step 9 out of 9
Preheat the oven to a temperature of 190 degrees. Carefully transfer the parchment together with the cake to a baking sheet and set in the oven at the middle level. We bake for twenty five to thirty minutes. During baking, the cake increases in volume and becomes covered with a beautiful golden crust. We bake the second cake after the first. We take the finished cake out of the oven, transfer it to a serving plate. You can additionally grease the surface with butter for juiciness. Serve hot.

Bon Appetit!
