Lightly salted cucumbers without horseradish

In this recipe, you are invited to exclude traditional horseradish from the marinade for lightly salted cucumbers and replace it with sesame seeds and soy sauce. It will turn out to be original and tasty. Try it!

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
Rinse cucumbers well, cut into longitudinal slices, and then into halves to make 2 bites. Place the cucumbers in a deep saucepan or bowl, sprinkle some salt on top, stir and leave for 20 minutes.
step 2 out of 5
Prepare the rest of the salting ingredients so that you have them on hand.
step 3 out of 5
Peel the chives and chop finely with a knife. Do not use a garlic maker for chopping garlic, as this garlic gives off a pungent odor. Finely chop fresh herbs. Pour sesame seeds into a separate bowl, cover them with vegetable oil, soy sauce and vinegar, stir and leave for 20 minutes to infuse. You can substitute lemon juice for vinegar.
step 4 out of 5
Add garlic and chopped herbs to chopped cucumbers in a saucepan. Sprinkle the cucumbers with red pepper and mix well. Then pour over the soy sesame marinade and stir again.
step 5 out of 5
Cover the saucepan with a lid or a piece of cling film and place in the refrigerator for 5-6 hours. After this time, you can serve salted cucumbers to the table.
