Lightly salted cucumbers without dill

Instead of fresh greens of dill, which is usually always added to lightly salted cucumbers, you can add the seeds of this umbrella plant to the salting, or you can do without dill altogether: the taste will come out from lightly salted cucumbers, it seems, and the one to which we are accustomed, but not quite. Be sure to cook cucumbers according to this recipe - they turn out to be very edible and mouth-watering.

Pour water into a saucepan, add salt, bay leaf, allspice and hot pepper. Boil the brine.
