Lightly salted tomatoes with bell pepper in a bag

Lightly salted tomatoes are a great alternative to lightly salted cucumbers or fresh salad. It takes a few minutes to cook them, and to marinate them - no more than two hours. It is worth pickling them in the morning and for lunch you will have a delicious side dish for meat or fish, boiled potatoes or rice. You can adjust the amount and types of spices to your taste and imagination, as well as the amount of chili and garlic.

We wash the tomatoes under cool running water, put them on a kitchen towel and leave them for 15-20 minutes to dry from the water. Then cut the tomatoes in half, remove the stalks and cut the tomatoes into 6-8 slices.

We put the chopped tomatoes in a clean, dense plastic bag.

We wash the bell pepper, clean it from the stalk and seeds and cut off the amount we need. Cut it into thin strips. Peel the garlic, rinse and cut into small slices. Add prepared vegetables to the tomato bag.

Then we send currant leaves, dill, salt, sugar and pepper, chili peppers to the tomatoes.

Carefully lift the package, release air from it and tie the edges tightly. Shake the bag for 1-2 minutes so that all the spices are evenly distributed over the vegetables. We put the package in a bowl, in case the marinade leaks, and send the tomatoes to the refrigerator for 2-2.5 hours.
