Mannik in sour milk in the oven

Manna dough can be made very quickly. But it is better to soak the semolina for the dough in advance, since it takes time for its full softening. Before serving, you can simply sprinkle the manna with powdered sugar, or even cut it lengthwise and layer it with jam. This cake is perfect for a family tea party. And if a couple of pieces remain, then they will go well as a quick nutritious breakfast or snack.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 4
Place the semolina in a bowl and fill it with sour milk. Stir the mixture until smooth and leave at room temperature for an hour and a half. The groats should swell well and become softer.
step 2 out of 4
Break the eggs into a separate bowl, add granulated sugar, salt and vanillin to them. Shake the components with a whisk until they are fully connected. Then add softened butter, baking powder and whisk everything together again. Finally, add the swollen semolina with sour milk and mix.
step 3 out of 4
Grease the baking dish with vegetable oil. If the mold is silicone, then you do not need to lubricate it. You can also line the cake pan with oiled parchment to make it easier to remove the finished cake later. Pour the prepared dough into a mold.
step 4 out of 4
Preheat the oven to a temperature of 180 degrees. We put the form with the dough on the middle level and bake for about forty minutes. When the manna rises and is well browned, it can be checked for readiness. We stick a toothpick in the middle - if it comes out dry, then the dough is baked and the cake can be taken out. Let the finished manna cool completely and transfer it to a serving plate. For decoration, the surface can be sprinkled with powdered sugar. We cut the manna into portions and serve.

Bon Appetit!
