Mannik in milk without flour in the oven

There are many options for making manna. Some of them include flour, and the end result is somewhat similar to a biscuit. According to this recipe, we propose to prepare "clean" manna, without adding flour. Be sure to use a baking powder so that the cake rises during baking and is fluffy. Flourless mannik has a more textured and crumbly crumb.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
We prepare the ingredients for the manna. It is better to take the milk out of the refrigerator beforehand so that it reaches room temperature. It is not recommended to use skimmed or low-fat milk, since in this case the manna will lose its richness and lose its taste.
step 2 out of 5
Pour semolina into a bowl and pour milk. We mix the components together and leave for twenty to thirty minutes at room temperature. During this time, the semolina will swell and soften.
step 3 out of 5
Break eggs into a separate bowl, add granulated sugar, vanillin and baking powder. Beat everything together with a whisk or mixer until an airy foam is obtained. Then add the manna-milk mixture and mix the resulting dough until smooth.
step 4 out of 5
Grease the baking dish with odorless vegetable oil. Pour the dough into a mold and smooth the surface. Preheat the oven to a temperature of 180 degrees. Set the form with the dough to the middle level and bake for forty minutes. The finished manna should slightly increase in volume and be covered with a pronounced ruddy crust.
step 5 out of 5
We take the finished manna out of the oven and let it cool down a little. Remove from the mold onto a serving plate and cool completely. Sprinkle the surface of the pie with powdered sugar and serve.

Bon Appetit!
