Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 4
Break the cooled eggs into a deep bowl and add sugar. Using a mixer, beat the ingredients until smooth, fluffy foam. Without stopping whipping, add vegetable oil into the mass in a thin stream, beat for another 1-2 minutes and remove the mixer from the dough.
step 2 out of 4
Next, add semolina to the egg-oil mixture, sift the flour and baking powder, add sour cream. Knead all the ingredients well until smooth so that there are no lumps in the dough.
step 3 out of 4
Leave the dough at room temperature for 15-20 minutes so that the semolina swells. After the time has elapsed, add milk to the dough, mix all the ingredients thoroughly again and put the dough in a greased form with vegetable oil. Using a silicone spatula, level the dough on top and set the manna to bake in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 30-40 minutes. We check the readiness of the manna with a skewer or a toothpick.
step 4 out of 4
We wash the orange under running water, dry it with a towel. We spread it on the work surface and roll it several times, slightly pressing the orange with the palm of your hand. Then cut the orange in half and squeeze out the juice. To impregnate the cake, 100 ml is enough for us. Pour the juice into a small saucepan, add sugar, put on the fire and heat the mixture until the sugar dissolves, remembering to stir it constantly. We take out the finished manna from the oven, let it cool for 5-10 minutes and take it out of the mold. Then, using a skewer, we make punctures in the manna in a chaotic manner. Then pour the orange syrup over the cake. Leave the cake for another 20-30 minutes so that it is well saturated with orange syrup and cooled down a little. Then sprinkle it with icing sugar and serve. Bon Appetit!
