Mannik in milk with cottage cheese in the oven

Mannik in milk with the addition of cocoa is a great option for a delicious dessert prepared in a matter of minutes. The delicate texture of manna with a pleasant creamy-curd taste is ideally combined with any filler, so during the preparation process it can be supplemented with raisins, walnuts or prunes. Freshly baked mannik goes well with a cup of aromatic coffee, tea or cocoa, as well as with a glass of milk or compote.

Cooking process

step 1 out of 7
Pour semolina into a deep bowl, add milk and cottage cheese, mix well and leave for 20-30 minutes so that the semolina swells. Instead of fat-free cottage cheese, you can use liquid cottage cheese paste, then there is no need to add milk.
step 2 out of 7
Break the eggs into a clean, dry bowl, add sugar and beat until white with a whisk or mixer.
step 3 out of 7
Put the butter in a small container and put it in the microwave, heat it up so that it softens. Add butter to the beaten eggs and beat for 1-2 minutes.
step 4 out of 7
We combine both masses together, add soda and cocoa. Beat for 1-2 minutes until the dough is homogeneous.
step 5 out of 7
Last of all, sift the flour into the dough, knead it well again so that there are no lumps in the dough. As a result, we get a homogeneous, not thick dough.
step 6 out of 7
Grease a baking dish for manna with a small amount of butter and put the dough into it. We level it from above with a spoon or a silicone spatula. We put the manna to bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
step 7 out of 7
We check the finished manna with a skewer, it should come out of the cake dry. We take out the manna from the oven and leave it at room temperature for 10-15 minutes to cool down a little. Then we put it out of the mold on a dish and serve. Enjoy your tea!
