Mannik in milk with berries in the oven

Have you ever tried a manna cooked with berries? It turns out just amazing! Delicate dough in milk with the addition of cottage cheese is an ideal base for a pie, which is combined with a variety of berries and fruits that you choose to your taste. At the bottom of the mold, we put shortbread cookies, which will serve as the basis for the cake and absorb moisture from the berries, preventing it from spreading over the dough, put the berries you like on top, and then the dough. After a short baking, we get an airy, moderately sweet cake with a pleasant sourness of berries and hints of vanilla.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 9
Break the eggs into a deep bowl, add sugar and beat until light foam with a whisk or mixer.
step 2 out of 9
Add milk to the egg mixture (you can mix half milk and kefir) and semolina, mix well and leave for 5-10 minutes so that the semolina swells a little.
step 3 out of 9
Then add cottage cheese, vanillin to the dough, sift the flour, baking powder and add salt. Mix all the ingredients well and bring the dough to a homogeneous state and leave for another 10-15 minutes.
step 4 out of 9
In the meantime, let's get busy with cookies. We put it in a plastic bag, join the edges and tie them. Using a rolling pin, grind the cookies into crumbs, rolling the bag of cookies with a rolling pin several times, pressing it to the working surface. Put the cookies in a baking dish, pre-greased with a piece of soft butter. We tamp the cookies with our hand a little so that they are evenly distributed over the bottom of the entire mold.
step 5 out of 9
Pour 1/3 of the dough onto the cookies.
step 6 out of 9
Lay out the prepared berries on top (if you use frozen ones, they must first be defrosted and discarded in a colander so that there is excess moisture in the glass).
step 7 out of 9
Put the remaining dough on top of the berries and hit the mold on the work surface several times (if the mold allows it, if the mold is glass, wait 5-7 minutes for the dough to stand in the mold, then it will fill all the voids). We put the form in an oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake the manna for 30-35 minutes. We check the readiness of the pie with a skewer; when piercing the manna, it should come out of the pie dry.
step 8 out of 9
We take out the finished manna from the oven and leave it for 15-20 minutes to cool down a little. Then we cover the form with a board and carefully turn the form upside down, so the manna turned out to be on the board upside down. Then we cover it with a dish and turn it over again - everything is ready.
step 9 out of 9
Sprinkle the cooled manna with icing sugar. Cut into portions and serve - enjoy your tea!
