Among homemade desserts, a juicy manna with a pleasant cherry sourness takes pride of place. It can be prepared both on weekdays and on a solemn occasion, decorating it with chocolate or whipped cream.

First, wash the fresh cherries, or defrost the berries if using frozen ones. Berries must be seedless.

Pour semolina into a deep bowl, add sour cream and stir the ingredients with a spoon, leave the cereal to swell for 30 minutes.

In a separate container, beat eggs and sugar until thick foam. Transfer the egg mass to the swollen semolina. Also add vanilla sugar, baking powder, and sifted flour to a bowl. Knead the dough.

Cover the baking dish with baking paper, brush it with sunflower oil. Put the dough in a mold, flatten it with a spatula, then spread the cherries over its surface.
