Fruits, berries, nuts and other components are added to it as desired to give the finished product a more interesting and unique taste.

What is the highlight of the manna on kefir?

Dessert with kefir is prepared quickly, without special culinary skills and high costs for food. The cake can be baked both in the oven and in a slow cooker. The only difference is in time. It takes 50-60 minutes to bake manna in a multicooker, and 30 minutes in the oven. In both cases, the cake is airy, soft and beautiful.

The classic recipe contains only the main ingredients: kefir, sugar, semolina, eggs, baking powder, sunflower oil, flour. This is a proven way of making dessert.It is difficult to make a mistake here, since almost all ingredients are measured in one glass. You can eat not only fresh kefir. The main thing is that it does not taste overly sour.

Advice. Before you start kneading the dough, semolina is soaked in kefir and left to swell for 30-45 minutes. This is an important point for making a lush pie. If you use non-swollen semolina, the dough will be uneven, dense and moist underneath.

Various fruits (including citruses), berries, nuts, dried fruits, cottage cheese, cocoa, as well as vanillin, cinnamon, cardamom can serve as additives for manna. To give a more original taste to the dessert, pumpkin with liqueur is chosen as additional ingredients, condensed milk is combined with bananas.

The subtleties of cooking manna

Traditionally, the process of preparing a dessert begins with eggs. Beat them with granulated sugar until a white shade is obtained. After that, the egg mass is combined with prepared semolina in kefir, baking powder, oil are added. All ingredients are thoroughly mixed and laid out in a greased form.

Advice. To make the cake as lush as possible, choose a deep and compact baking dish. It can be a metal or silicone mold.

10 minutes before baking, the oven is heated at 180 degrees. During this time, the raw dough is placed in a mold and left to rest aside. Next, the manna is sent to a hot oven for 20 minutes. After the specified time, the temperature is raised to 200 degrees and the dessert is baked for another 5-10 minutes.

The finished cake is taken out of the mold while hot and wait for it to cool. Sprinkle the dessert with icing sugar. You can add bright colors to the manna with strawberries, raspberries, currants or blueberries. It is recommended to use any jam, condensed milk, liquid chocolate, cream, pureed orange or lemon zest for decoration.

Often, the finished cake is divided in half horizontally. Fruits, berries are spread on the lower half, greased with any cream. Cover the filling with the other half and pour jam or liquid chocolate on top.

Useful tricks

Baked goods can be easily removed from the hot mold if it is pre-greased and sprinkled with flour or semolina around the entire perimeter. Apply oiled parchment paper onto which the dough is spread for baking.
