Instant hot pickled cabbage

A quick and delicious snack made from the simplest ingredients that each of us grows in the garden. The process does not take much time and effort, and the result will surprise you. I recommend doing a lot at once, because the dish just flies away!

Remove the upper flabby leaves from the cabbage head, and finely chop the white, clean ones. Rub the carrots on a medium or coarse grater.

Prepare the brine in a saucepan of a suitable size: combine water, salt, granulated sugar, vegetable oil and spices to taste. Bring to a boil, pour in half a glass of vinegar and turn it off.

We carefully mash the white cabbage straws with our hands for 3-5 minutes, until the root crop gives up its juice. Add the carrots and finely chopped or passed through a press garlic there, mix everything.

Pour the chopped vegetables with hot marinade, close the top with a plate or a lid and set the load (a jar filled with water is great). Leave the brine to soak overnight at room temperature.

The next morning the cabbage is ready to eat. We put it in clean cans and store in the refrigerator. Sprinkle with fresh chopped herbs before serving.
