Pickled cabbage with carrots without instant vinegar

Chopped cabbage with carrots and garlic is placed in jars. Everything is filled with marinade from water, salt, sugar, vegetable oil, lemon juice and sent to the refrigerator for 1-2 days.

First, thoroughly rinse all vegetables under running water and dry them on a paper towel. Remove the top leaves from the cabbage, cut out the stump and cut it into small squares. We clean and rub the carrots on a coarse grater. Cut the garlic into thin slices.

We rinse the jar well under hot water and sterilize it in a convenient way. We shift the chopped vegetables into it and tamp them tightly.

Next, we prepare the marinade. Pour drinking water into a suitable saucepan. Add granulated sugar, salt, vegetable oil and lemon juice to it. We put on fire, bring to a boil and cook for a couple of minutes, until the sugar and salt are completely dissolved.

Fill the vegetables with the resulting marinade. We twist the jar with a lid and let it stand at room temperature until it cools completely. Now we put it in the refrigerator for 1-2 days, where the cabbage will be pickled.
