Pickled cucumbers in a sweet marinade

Not quite the classic version of pickled cucumbers, which is dominated by a sweet note. The cucumbers are crispy and aromatic. The balance of taste between sugar, salt and spices does not allow the preparation to be considered sweet, but pickles can no longer be called pickles. If you want to surprise your guests, it is worth rolling up a few jars of such a snack.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 4
We choose young cucumbers for harvesting, small in size, with pimples on the surface. We rinse them thoroughly, cut off the tips if desired.
step 2 out of 4
We wash the pepper, clean it from the stalk and seeds, cut into strips. Peel the onions, rinse and cut into half rings. We wash the dill, dry it and chop it coarsely with a knife. After the vegetables are prepared, put them in a suitable container.
step 3 out of 4
We mix the ingredients for the brine: completely dissolve the salt in the specified amount of cold water. It is important to use coarse table salt. Pour vegetables with the resulting brine and leave for three hours. At this time, we sterilize the jars.
step 4 out of 4
After the specified time has elapsed, we take out the vegetables from the brine and put them in the jars, tightly enough, not forgetting to put greens in between. To prepare the marinade, pour water in the indicated volume into a saucepan, add sugar, vinegar and bay leaf. Bring to a boil, let stand for one minute and remove from the stove. Pour jars filled with cucumbers with the resulting marinade and put on sterilization for ten minutes. After that, roll up the lids and let the jars cool completely. We store the workpiece in a cool, dark place.

Bon Appetit!
