Pickled tomatoes without sterilization

It is very simple to prepare tomatoes for the winter without resorting to the sterilization process. To do this, it is enough to have fresh tomatoes and a minimum of time. You can get confused in a wide variety of recipes for winter preservation, but before you is a proven and, one might say, classic recipe for pickled tomatoes without sterilization.

Wash and dry the tomatoes thoroughly.

Peel the garlic.

Rinse the bell peppers, peel and cut into small strips. Please note that the ingredients indicated in the recipe are for 3 liters of workpiece.

Put allspice and bay leaf in sterilized jars, then fill the containers with tomatoes by about a third, put a small amount of bell pepper on top. Then repeat the tomato and pepper layers until the jar is full to the top. Place the garlic in a jar before the last tomato layer. If the cloves are large, you can cut them in half.

The next step - the containers with tomatoes must be poured with boiling water and left for 15 minutes, having previously covered with a lid. After a while, drain the water from the jar into a saucepan and boil it again.

Pour the required amount of salt and granulated sugar into a jar with tomatoes, also pour in vinegar.

Pour jars of tomatoes with boiling water and immediately seal them with lids. Turn the workpiece upside down and cool it under a warm blanket. For storage, pickled tomatoes are best moved to a cool place.
