Pickled tomatoes are always present on the table in winter. And every housewife has her own favorite recipe for this appetizer. The main advantage of Moldovan pickled tomatoes is their natural taste.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 4
Wash the tomatoes, cut the stalk of each vegetable. Boil water and place tomatoes in it for 3-4 minutes, then remove them with a slotted spoon, transfer to cold water. You can then easily peel the tomatoes off.
step 2 out of 4
Wash the jars well with a cleaning agent or baking soda, then sterilize them. Boil the lids and let them dry. Arrange the tomatoes in the jars so that they are snug against each other.
step 3 out of 4
Boil water and pour boiling water over the tomatoes. Cover the jars with lids and leave for 10-15 minutes.
step 4 out of 4
Drain the water from the cans back into the pot, bring it to a boil, and dissolve the sugar and salt. Finally, add the vinegar and remove the pan from the heat. Put black and allspice peas in jars to the tomatoes, pour in the hot marinade and roll up the lids. Place the pickled tomatoes on the lids, wrap the jars in several layers of tea towels, and let them cool completely. Moldovan tomatoes can be not only an excellent snack, but also the basis for homemade tomato sauce.
