Pickled tomatoes with basil and garlic

Tomatoes go well with basil in any form: fresh, pickled, dried and stewed. As a preparation for the winter, spicy pickled tomatoes with basil and garlic will decorate your table and complement hot dishes.

Wash and dry the tomatoes.

Wash the basil, peel the garlic.

Wash and sterilize jars thoroughly. Place the tomatoes, basil, garlic cloves, peppers and cloves in the jars. Boil water in a saucepan and pour boiling water over the jars, cover them with lids on top and leave for 10-15 minutes.

Pour the water back into the saucepan, add sugar, salt and citric acid, bring to a boil and pour the marinade back into the jars. Roll up the cans with a tin key, wrap them with a blanket and leave to cool completely. Store pickled tomatoes with basil and garlic in a cool cellar.
