Carrot and apple juice for the winter

During the winter harvesting period, I try to roll up not only various salads and snacks, but also compotes and juices. Today I want to propose a recipe for carrot and apple juice for the winter. I prepare healthy juice every year and do not buy any drinks in the store. For juicing, choose juicy sweet carrots and apples.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
First of all, prepare the jars, wash them thoroughly in warm water with baking soda, and then sterilize the way convenient for you: in the microwave, in the oven or in a water bath. Pour boiling water over the lids or boil in a saucepan. Wash the apples well, pat dry, and then cut them in half. Core with seeds.
step 2 out of 6
Wash the carrots thoroughly in running water using a fruit and vegetable brush, then peel them and use a sharp knife or vegetable peeler.
step 3 out of 6
Pass the prepared ingredients through a juicer.
step 4 out of 6
Pour the resulting juice into a saucepan with a thick bottom, add the required amount of granulated sugar and drinking water. Adjust the amount of sugar depending on your own taste preferences and the natural sweetness of carrots and apples. Stir well, put on fire, bring to a boil, reduce heat and boil the juice for about 2-3 minutes.
step 5 out of 6
Gently pour the prepared carrot-apple juice into sterile jars and screw with sterile lids. Turn hot juice cans upside down and wrap them in a warm blanket or towel. Leave in this state to cool completely for about 12 hours. Then turn the jars over and move them to a cool, dark place for long-term storage.
step 6 out of 6
Serve the carrot and apple juice chilled; if necessary, you can dilute it with drinking water.

Enjoy a delicious and healthy drink!
