Delicious manna in sour milk in the oven

A great way to use sour milk is to make an airy manna out of it. A piece of such pastry will not only be suitable as a dessert for a cup of coffee, but it can also become a delicious breakfast. Mannik is obtained with a soft, loose crumb and a dense crust. For decoration, you can sprinkle it with icing sugar, pour over with jam or condensed milk.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 4
Place the semolina in a bowl, fill it with sour milk and stir. Leave the resulting mixture for thirty minutes to swell. Meanwhile, mix the eggs with granulated sugar in a separate bowl and beat them with a mixer until an airy light foam is formed.
step 2 out of 4
Add softened semolina with sour milk, sifted flour, salt and soda to the egg-sugar foam. Using a mixer or manually knead the dough until completely homogeneous.
step 3 out of 4
Grease the baking dish with a thin layer of vegetable oil. Alternatively, you can cover oiled parchment - this will make it easier to extract the finished manna after baking. Put the dough into the prepared form. We level the surface with a spoon or a silicone spatula.
step 4 out of 4
Preheat the oven to a temperature of 180 degrees. We put the form with the future manna on the middle level. We bake for thirty to forty minutes, until the product slightly increases in volume and is well browned. At the end of baking, we check the readiness by sticking a toothpick into the center of the manna. If the toothpick comes out dry, then it is ready. We take the mannik out of the oven and cool it completely. In a cooled state, sprinkle it with powdered sugar, cut into portions and serve.
