Cucumbers as barrel under a nylon lid

I always thought that barrel cucumbers can only be cooked at my grandmother in the village in an oak barrel. But once I found this recipe and decided to cook, to be honest, I did not even hope for such a wonderful result. Now I want to share this recipe with you.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 9
Prepare the ingredients you need for a great snack. For cucumbers, select fresh, strong, small fruits. Wash them well, and then put them in a deep container and cover with cold water. Leave to soak for about 1-2 hours.
step 2 out of 9
Wash the jar in which you will prepare the snack thoroughly in warm water with baking soda, and then sterilize in a water bath. Rinse horseradish leaves and dill umbrellas well under cold water, then shake off excess moisture. Peel the garlic, then rinse under running water and cut into small pieces.
step 3 out of 9
Lay a bay leaf at the bottom of a sterile jar, add black peppercorns and allspice peas, also add dill umbrellas. Then lay out a row of cucumbers and sprinkle with chopped garlic.
step 4 out of 9
Fill the jar completely with cucumbers, alternating with herbs and garlic.
step 5 out of 9
Prepare the brine. Put the required amount of coarse salt and dill seeds in a deep saucepan.
step 6 out of 9
Pour in the required amount of water, and then stir well until the salt crystals are completely dissolved.
step 7 out of 9
Pour a jar of cucumbers with cold brine.
step 8 out of 9
Cover the jar with gauze folded in several layers and secure it with a rubber band. Place the jar of cucumbers in a deep container and move it to the windowsill. Leave it as it is for 4-5 days.
step 9 out of 9
When the cucumbers change their color and the brine becomes cloudy, remove the gauze. Pour boiling water over the nylon cover. Close the jar well with a nylon lid, and then move it to a cool dark place or refrigerator for storage. Serve the prepared barrel cucumbers.

Bon Appetit!
