You can use this recipe for cold pickling cucumbers for the winter. Cucumbers are pickled without vinegar and only with spicy herbs. You are encouraged to add some vodka to the cucumbers. It will make the cucumbers crisp and preserve them better. Try it!

Soak cucumbers for pickling for 2 hours in cold water. During this time, rinse the jars with baking soda and sterilize in any way. Wash the dill umbrellas and leaves and put them in prepared jars.

Rinse the soaked cucumbers with running water and place them compactly in jars with spices.
Pour the calculated amount of cold water into a separate dish. Pour salt and sugar into it and stir until completely dissolved. Then add vodka to the brine and pour cucumbers in jars with them, filling them to the very top.

Cover the jars with loose lids or cheesecloth and leave for 3 days at home temperature to start the fermentation process.
