Prepare all the necessary ingredients for preparing the winter harvest.

Wash the jar in which you will salt the cucumbers thoroughly in warm water with baking soda, and then sterilize in a water bath, in the oven or microwave. Pour the required amount of mustard powder into the bottom of a sterile jar.
