I want to share one of my culinary favorites - a recipe for canned cucumbers with ketchup without sterilization. The appetizer turns out to be juicy and aromatic, with an ideal balanced taste. Spicy cucumbers will appeal to everyone who loves savory snacks.

Prepare all the ingredients you need for a delicious cucumber and ketchup snack.

Wash the cucumbers thoroughly in cold running water. Then put in a deep container, fill with cold running water and leave to soak for about 2 hours. Choose strong cucumbers of the same small size.

In the meantime, prepare the jars. Wash them thoroughly in warm water and baking soda, and then sterilize in the microwave, oven, or bain-marie. Boil the lids in a separate container or pour over with boiling water. Place 2 bay leaves on the bottom of sterile jars.

Rinse the cucumbers again in running cool water and dry, cut off the ends. Place the first layer of cucumbers in the jars as tightly as possible.

Then fill the sterile jars completely with cucumbers. Cut them into several pieces if necessary.

Prepare the marinade. Pour the required amount of drinking water into a saucepan with a thick bottom, add ketchup, granulated sugar and salt. Mix thoroughly. Put the saucepan with the contents over medium heat and bring to a boil. Boil for 5-10 minutes, then remove from heat, pour in vinegar and mix well.

Pour cucumber jars with prepared hot marinade. Cover with sterile lids. Roll up hot snack cans with a seamer.

Turn hot jars of cucumbers with ketchup upside down, wrap them in a warm blanket, and leave in this form until they cool completely for about a day. Then turn the cooled jars of cucumber and ketchup appetizers over and store in a cool, dark place for long-term storage.
