Cucumbers with Maheev ketchup in liter jars

I want to share one of my favorite recipes for canned cucumbers with ketchup in liter jars. Cucumbers are spicy with a pleasant aroma and unforgettable taste. This winter snack will suit any family meal and will become a bright festive spot.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 8
Prepare all the ingredients you need. Rinse the dill umbrellas, horseradish leaves, and hot peppers well under running water. Cut the horseradish leaves into several pieces. Peel the garlic, rinse under cold water. Wash cucumbers thoroughly in cool running water. Dry the cucumbers on a clean kitchen towel, then trim the ponytails on both sides.
step 2 out of 8
Wash the jars thoroughly in warm water with baking soda, and then sterilize in the microwave, oven, or water bath. Boil the lids in a separate container or pour over with boiling water. Add to each jar garlic, some horseradish leaves, black peppercorns, bay leaves, mustard seeds, an umbrella of dill, and a small piece of hot pepper.
step 3 out of 8
Place prepared cucumbers on top tightly.
step 4 out of 8
Prepare the marinade. Pour the required amount of drinking water into a saucepan with a thick bottom, add ketchup, granulated sugar and salt. Mix thoroughly. Put the saucepan with the contents over medium heat and bring to a boil. Boil for a few minutes, then remove from heat, pour in vinegar and stir well.
step 5 out of 8

step 6 out of 8
Gently place hot jars in a saucepan with a thick bottom, cover the bottom of which with a kitchen towel, pour warm water over the hangers of the jars. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and sterilize cans for 10 minutes.
step 7 out of 8
Gently remove the hot jars of flavorful snack and screw the lids well. Turn the jars upside down, wrap them in a warm blanket or a terry towel, and leave in this state until they cool completely for about a day.
step 8 out of 8
Then turn the cooled jars of pickled cucumbers with ketchup over and store in a cool, dark place for long-term storage.

Bon Appetit!
