Cucumbers with vodka and vinegar for the winter

I would like to propose an unusual recipe for delicious, crispy and rather aromatic cucumbers with vodka. Vodka is used as an additional preservative and is not felt at all, but gives additional crunchiness to vegetables.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 8
First of all, take the required amount of cucumbers, put in a deep container and cover with cold water. Leave in this state for about 2-2.5 hours.
step 2 out of 8
In the meantime, prepare the jars. Wash thoroughly in warm water and baking soda and then sterilize in a water bath, microwave or oven. At the bottom of sterile jars, put umbrellas of dried dill, a piece of hot pepper, as well as garlic, previously peeled and washed.
step 3 out of 8
Remove the cucumbers from the container and rinse under cold water, then dry and put in the jar, as tightly as possible.
step 4 out of 8
Fill with hot water and leave for 15-20 minutes, covered with pre-sterilized lids.
step 5 out of 8
Pour the water into a heavy-bottomed saucepan and then add the required amount of salt and granulated sugar, as well as black peppercorns and bay leaves. Put the saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil, boil the marinade for about 5 minutes.
step 6 out of 8
Pour the required amount of vodka and table vinegar into a jar of cucumbers.
step 7 out of 8
Then fill with hot marinade. Roll up sterile lids with a seaming machine, then turn the cans upside down and wrap them in a warm blanket or towel.
step 8 out of 8
Leave in this position until it cools completely, then turn the jars over and transfer to a cool, dark place for storage.

Bon Appetit!
