Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 7
Prepare all the ingredients you need for cooking cucumbers in tomato juice without vinegar. Rinse horseradish leaves and dill umbrellas well under cool water and shake off excess moisture. Peel the onions and garlic and rinse under water.
step 2 out of 7
Choose cucumbers of the same small to medium size. Wash them thoroughly in cool running water, then place in a deep container and cover with cold water. Leave to soak for about 2 hours. Wash and sterilize jars in a way convenient for you - in the microwave, in the oven or in a water bath. Boil the lids or pour over with boiling water.
step 3 out of 7
Cut the peeled onions into rings about 5 millimeters thick.
step 4 out of 7
Put dill umbrellas, horseradish leaves, peeled garlic, onions cut into rings and allspice peas on the bottom of sterile jars. Then fill the jar with cucumbers, placing them as tightly as possible, and fill with pre-prepared boiling water, leave for 10 minutes, then drain the water into a saucepan, bring to a boil and fill the jars for another 10 minutes.
step 5 out of 7
Prepare the marinade. Pour the required amount of tomato juice into a saucepan with a thick bottom. Then add the required amount of granulated sugar, cinnamon, salt and bay leaf. Put the saucepan over moderate heat and bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and boil the marinade for a few minutes.
step 6 out of 7
Drain the water from the jars, and then gently cover with hot marinade. Prepare a deep saucepan, cover the bottom with a kitchen towel. Using a special tool, gently move the hot cans into the pan. Pour warm water over the hangers of the jars. Put the pot with the jars on the fire and bring to a boil, and sterilize the jars of cucumbers for 20 minutes.
step 7 out of 7
Then carefully remove the hot cans from the pan with a special tool. Roll up hot cucumber jars with a seamer. Turn gently upside down. Cover with a warm blanket or towel. Leave in this form until it cools completely for a day. Then move them to a cool, dark place for long-term storage.

Enjoy the fragrant cucumbers!
