Okroshka on water and sour cream

There are many options for preparing this refreshing Russian dish. In this recipe, we use ham as a meat ingredient and sour cream with water as a binding liquid. Of course, don't forget about fresh juicy greens and crispy vegetables. All ingredients can be grated on a coarse grater or cut into small cubes.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 7
Free the ham from the shell and rub it on a coarse grater. Put the grated ham into a large bowl. We wash, clean and dry the radishes. We also rub it on a coarse grater and place it with the ham. We wash the cucumbers, dry them and cut off the tips on both sides to avoid possible bitterness. Grate on a coarse grater, add to the bowl to the rest of the ingredients.
step 2 out of 7
Thoroughly wash and dry the onion feathers and dill greens. Finely chop both types of greens. To make okroshka more fragrant, the chopped greens need to be slightly mash with your hands, until a small amount of juice appears. Put prepared herbs in a common bowl.
step 3 out of 7
We also rub boiled eggs on a coarse grater and pour into a bowl with other ingredients.
step 4 out of 7
In a separate small bowl, mix the specified amount of sour cream, salt and black pepper to taste.
step 5 out of 7
Add water and stir until smooth.
step 6 out of 7
Pour the resulting liquid into the chopped ingredients in a bowl and mix thoroughly. If okroshka is not planned to be served immediately, then it is better to keep the liquid and chopped ingredients separated until serving.
step 7 out of 7
Pour the finished okroshka into portioned plates and serve.

Bon Appetit!
