Frozen strawberry open pie

Frozen strawberries are great for baking pies. In this recipe, it is necessary to completely defrost it, and the juice released in the process must be drained so that too much moisture does not get into the filling. Sprinkle coconut on the cake for flavor. If you are not a fan of exotic scent, you can skip this step.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
To prepare shortcrust pastry, put soft butter in a bowl, add granulated sugar, vanilla sugar, salt to it and break the egg. We grind everything together until a homogeneous mass is obtained. Then add the sifted flour and baking powder. Knead soft, firm, non-sticky dough.
step 2 out of 5
Grease the cake pan with vegetable oil. Alternatively, you can cover it with oiled parchment. If the mold is silicone, you do not need to lubricate with anything. We distribute the shortcrust pastry with our hands in shape and make the sides along the edge.
step 3 out of 5
Cooking curd filling. To do this, break the eggs into a separate container and pour the granulated sugar. Beat everything together with a mixer until a fluffy light foam is obtained. Then add cottage cheese, starch and sour cream. Mix everything together with a whisk or mixer until smooth.
step 4 out of 5
Pre-defrost the strawberries, drain all the juice and do not use it in the filling. Pour the curd mass onto the sand base, and immerse the strawberries in it, trying to distribute them evenly over the entire area. Sprinkle coconut on top of the cake. Preheat the oven to a temperature of 190 degrees. We put the form with the future pie on the middle level of an already hot oven and bake for about forty or five minutes. Baking times may vary slightly depending on the specific oven. We focus on the fact that by the end of baking, the cake should be well browned around the edges and on the surface.
step 5 out of 5
We take the finished product out of the oven and let it cool completely. After cooling, the filling of the cake will become denser. Before serving, cut the pie into portions and serve.
Bon Appetit!
