Frozen berries do not differ in their properties from fresh ones, which makes it possible to prepare this delicious dessert at any time of the year, and this does not work out of jam. The filling of such a cherry is quite liquid, so you need to drain all the juice and sprinkle the berries with starch.

In a bowl for kneading the dough, sift wheat flour on a sieve and mix it with baking powder and vanilla sugar. Melt the butter in the microwave or water bath. Add sour cream to the flour and pour the melted butter. Knead the dough quickly (with long kneading it can become tough) with your hands. Then roll it into a bun, wrap it in plastic wrap or a bag and put it in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.

Throw the defrosted cherries in a sieve or colander and squeeze the juice a little with your hand. It is better to remove the seeds, but if you do not have enough patience for this procedure, you can leave the berries with seeds. Remove the dough from the refrigerator and divide into two unequal pieces. Roll out the larger piece a little and place in a greased baking dish, forming it with sides. Then place the cherries on top of the dough. Sprinkle the berries with the amount of starch and sugar indicated in the recipe. If you will not make the icing, then add more sugar.
